Role Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, delivery-focused Project Manager / Business Analyst (PM/BA) with at least 4 years of experience to drive a dynamic portfolio of commercial digital initiatives. Reporting directly to the Digital Manager, you will support critical business verticals including Aluminium, Copper Concentrate, Commercial Finance, and overall digital project planning and coordination.

This hybrid role bridges core business analysis with structured project delivery. You will take initiatives end-to-end—from initial problem definition and requirement gathering through prioritization, execution, and deployment. The ideal candidate thrives in a complex, cross-functional, and fluid commercial environment where priorities and technical requirements evolve.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Analysis & Solution Definition

• Elicit, analyze, and document comprehensive business requirements, clearly defining problem statements, business value, scope, and target outcomes.
• Map and evaluate end-to-end current-state (As-Is) and target-state (To-Be) business processes, system interactions, and data flows to uncover bottlenecks, risks, and optimization opportunities.
• Translate business needs into detailed functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable technical backlog items.
• Work closely with data, digital engineering, and core IT teams to clarify functional intent and resolve design ambiguities.

2. Project Delivery & Governance

• Support digital initiatives end-to-end through initiation, scoping, sprint/milestone planning, execution, and business rollout.
• Build and maintain core project artifacts: delivery roadmaps, schedules, resource allocations, dependency logs, and RAID logs (Risks, Assumptions, Issues, Dependencies).
• Track and manage cross-project dependencies, activity sequencing, and resource conflicts across concurrent commercial streams.
• Prepare concise executive project status reports, key metric updates, and decision-support materials; proactively escalate blockers and critical risks.

3. Stakeholder Collaboration & Prioritization

• Lead cross-functional alignment sessions across commercial trading desks, finance, operations, and technical teams to assign ownership, resolve conflicts, and drive decision-making.
• Prioritize backlogs and delivery schedules based on quantifiable commercial value, regulatory urgency, architectural constraints, and operational dependencies.
• Foster delivery momentum by proactively addressing friction points between business operators and technical delivery squads.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Essential Criteria

• Experience: Minimum 4+ years of hands-on, integrated Project Management and Business Analysis experience delivering digital, data, or technology initiatives.
• Dual-Track Capability: Proven ability to operate simultaneously across BA depth (process modeling, backlog grooming, functional testing) and PM rigor (timeline tracking, RAID management, delivery governance).
• Process & Data Acumen: Strong grounding in business process mapping, system flow diagramming, and data-driven projects (reporting, business intelligence, API/system integrations).
• Ambiguity Navigation: Demonstrated ability to work independently, establish structure within fluid environments, and pivot when commercial priorities change.
• Communication & Facilitation: Exceptional verbal, written, and visual communication skills, capable of translating complex operational scenarios into straightforward technical deliverables.

Highly Desirable

• Agile & Product Mindset: Practical experience acting as a Product Owner (PO) or Scrum Master (backlog prioritization, MVP definition, release planning).
• Multi-Project Management: Experience coordinating multiple concurrent initiatives with interconnected data dependencies.
• Consulting Background: Previous experience in management, business, or technology consulting managing senior, diverse stakeholder groups.

Domain & System Exposure (Preferred, Not Mandatory)

• Industry Domain: Experience in commodity trading, wholesale supply chain, commercial operations, or heavy natural resources (metals, mining, energy, bulk commodities).
• Commercial Literacy: Functional exposure to commercial finance, sales/marketing, margin analysis, contract lifecycle, or physical logistics.
• Platform Exposure: Familiarity with enterprise software suites such as ERPs (SAP/Oracle), CRMs (Salesforce), CTRM/ETRM systems, or enterprise data platforms (Azure, Snowflake, Databricks, Power BI).
