AV Workplace Technology Project Manager
Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AV Workplace Technology Project Manager to lead the planning, execution, and delivery of workplace technology projects. This role is responsible for the end-to-end implementation of Audio-Visual (AV) systems, LED display solutions, network infrastructure, and related workplace technologies, including conference rooms, digital signage, and unified communications. The successful candidate will ensure seamless integration with construction activities while meeting stakeholder, security, and corporate standards.
Qualifications & Experience
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Information Technology, Project Management, or a related field.
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of progressive experience managing large-scale, complex projects.
- Significant experience in commercial real estate / workplace projects and/or AV/IT deployments.
- Proven track record delivering projects involving:
Raceway and cable management systems
Raised floor and hub room design
Power sizing and electrical coordination
Network and Wi-Fi infrastructure
AV systems integration (Crestron, Shure, Biamp, Jabra, Sennheiser)
Collaboration platforms (Microsoft Teams Rooms)
LED display solutions
Access control and security systems
Technical Knowledge
- In-depth knowledge of current and emerging AV technologies, including:
Video conferencing platforms (Microsoft Teams, Zoom)
Control systems (Crestron, Extron)
- Strong understanding of AV/IT infrastructure integration within construction environments.
Core Skills
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Strong budget management and project scheduling capabilities.
- Proficiency with project management and financial tracking tools.
Preferred Certifications
- PMP or PRINCE2
- CTS (Certified Technology Specialist)

Key Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and budgets for AV and workplace technology initiatives.
- Coordinate with main contractors, vendors, and internal teams to ensure smooth project execution.
Technical Oversight
- Manage the design and installation of:
Raceways and structured cabling
Raised floors and hub rooms
- Oversee power sizing and electrical requirements for technology systems.
- Collaborate closely with IT infrastructure and network teams to ensure physical and network readiness.
- Implement access control systems in alignment with corporate security standards.
- Lead AV and collaboration technology integration, including:
Development and documentation of technical Scope of Work (SOW) for AV integrators
Ensuring adherence to corporate AV standards (e.g., Teams Rooms, digital signage platforms)
- Manage delivery, testing, commissioning, and final sign-off of AV/UC hardware and software.
- Oversee creation of user guides and conduct training and handover to Help Desk and Day-2 support teams.
Governance & Compliance
- Work with Design Authority, Cybersecurity, and other internal stakeholders to obtain approvals.
- Ensure compliance with building codes, safety regulations, sustainability requirements, and corporate standards.
Budget & Resource Management
- Track project costs, manage budgets, and optimize resource allocation.
- Prepare financial reports and ensure adherence to approved budgets.
Scheduling & Dependencies
- Identify and manage dependencies between technology deployments and construction activities.
- Maintain detailed schedules and proactively resolve conflicts.
Stakeholder & Vendor Management
- Engage internal stakeholders to capture requirements and provide regular status updates.
- Manage vendor relationships and ensure compliance with contractual obligations.
Reporting & Documentation
- Provide regular management reports on project progress, risks, and deliverables.
- Maintain accurate and complete documentation throughout all project phases.
