Job Summary

Support and lead project control functions across diverse projects, ensuring technical integrity, compliance with customer requirements, and effective team management to deliver successful engineering outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead project control functions on projects of varying complexity to ensure timely and quality delivery
  • Prepare detailed project reports covering progress, financial status, resource allocation, actual costs, earned value, and forecasts to inform decision-making
  • Ensure technical integrity of design deliverables by reviewing and verifying all documentation before formal issue
  • Manage and provide technical guidance to a team of engineers and drafters to maintain high-quality outputs
  • Coordinate with other consultants and disciplines to align activities and achieve overall project design objectives efficiently
  • Review sub-consultant invoices and costs for accuracy and recommend payments accordingly
  • Conduct project meetings as required and prepare accurate minutes to document decisions and actions
  • Resolve technical problems on site by liaising directly with the Project Engineer (PE) to maintain project progress
  • Prepare tender specifications and assist the team in selecting competent vendors to support project needs
  • Manage site supervisors (Resident Engineers/Resident Technical Officers) to ensure effective site operations
  • Support supervisors in daily project execution to maintain workflow and address issues promptly
  • Engage in continuous learning and development to enhance professional skills and project delivery capabilities

Required competencies and certifications

  • Graduate or postgraduate degree in Civil & Structural Engineering from a recognized university
  • Experience with local authorities and agencies requirements for civil works to ensure regulatory compliance

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • Degree recognized by the Professional Engineers Board (PE Board) is advantageous
  • 3 to 10 years of proven experience delivering infrastructural, building, or industrial projects
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively in a multicultural environment
