Job Description

We are an established aluminium and glazing subcontractor in Singapore specialising in aluminium windows and doors, glass works, railings, canopies, façade and other architectural works.

We are looking for a Project Manager who can independently manage multiple construction projects from award through completion and handover.

Job Responsibilities

. Manage aluminium, glazing and related architectural works from project commencement to completion.

. Plan and coordinate project schedules, manpower, materials, fabrication, delivery and installation activities.

. Attend site meetings and coordinate closely with main contractors, consultants, architects, suppliers and internal teams.

. Review construction drawings, shop drawings and site conditions to ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings and specifications.

. Coordinate site measurements and ensure information required for fabrication is accurate and issued on time.

. Monitor site progress and ensure works are completed according to the required project programme.

. Plan and deploy workers/site teams according to project priorities and deadlines.

. Coordinate aluminium fabrication, glass orders, metal works, ironmongery and other project materials.

. Monitor material requirements and ensure materials are ordered and delivered according to the installation schedule.

. Identify site issues, drawing discrepancies and coordination problems early and follow through until resolution.

. Coordinate with the Quantity Surveying/Commercial team on variation works, additional works and changes in project scope.

. Monitor subcontractors and workers to ensure workmanship and installation quality meet project requirements.

. Ensure site works comply with relevant safety requirements and company procedures.

. Conduct inspections and coordinate rectification of defects.

. Manage testing, inspections, submissions and handover requirements where applicable.

. Maintain proper project records, progress updates and site documentation.

. Report project progress, manpower requirements, delays and major issues to management.

. Manage several projects concurrently and prioritise resources according to urgency and project deadlines.

Requirements

. Diploma/Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Building, Architectural, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.

. Relevant experience in Singapore's construction industry.

. Experience in aluminium, glazing, façade, curtain wall, windows & doors or architectural works will be highly preferred.

. Good understanding of construction drawings and site coordination.

. Able to read and understand architectural and shop drawings.

. Familiarity with AutoCAD will be an advantage.

. Good planning, coordination and problem-solving skills.

. Able to communicate effectively with main contractors, consultants, suppliers, workers and management.

. Able to work independently and take ownership of assigned projects.

. Able to manage multiple active projects simultaneously.

. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to follow up on outstanding matters until completion.

. Candidates with specialist subcontractor experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
