Manager (AI)
We are seeking a strategic and technically skilled AI Consultant to join NTUC's Transformation Office. As an AI thought leader, you will be responsible for shaping AI strategies, leading AI engagements, and delivering high-impact AI projects from concept to execution. You will bring deep knowledge in generative and agentic AI, with hands-on experience using platforms such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and AWS Q.
Key Responsibilities
Project Consulting & Delivery
- Lead end-to-end AI project lifecycle: from ideation and scoping to delivery, testing, and optimisation.
- Translate business needs into actionable AI use cases and solutions.
- Oversee cross-functional delivery teams, managing scope, timelines, and stakeholder expectations.
- Apply Agile and modern project management practices to ensure successful outcomes.
- Ability to develop AI prototypes and coding experience is an advantage.
- Derive budget, prepare approval paper, project charter and facilitate the project approval process
- Review and negotiate the project contracts
- Plan and manage the projects which includes preparing project schedules, plan and coordinate project activities, budget and payment schedules as well as manage project resources and mitigate risks and issues
- Leverage project management tools to track project performance and schedule adherence to ensure on-time on-budget delivery of business requirements
- Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project
- Provide timely updates to senior stakeholders on project progress, impact, major milestones, and risks on a regular and a need-to basis
- Perform quality control on the project throughout lifecycle to maintain the standards expected
- Oversee and ensure proper documentation and deliverables of each project phase (business requirements, functional specification, project plan, test strategy, test plan etc.), training and support of new/modified applications
- Primary liaison to manage vendor for successful delivery and performance of projects including:
- Vendor management to ensure that vendor meets the contractual agreement, service level agreement (SLA) and deliver IT systems on-time according to plan and within budget
- Monitor vendors performance according to contractual obligations and SLAs
- Facilitate knowledge transfer with external vendor and internal team
- Manage outsourcing contracts and environment to ensure that contractual obligations are met, projects are successfully delivered by vendors/service providers
- Serving as a point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy.
- Identifying and managing potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects:
- Monitor and coordinate efforts between multiple vendors
Technical Expertise & Tool Implementation
- Prototype solutions using generative AI models (e.g., GPT, Gemini, Claude).
- Design and deploy intelligent agent workflows using tools like Microsoft Copilot Studio, Vertex AI Agent Builder, and AWS Q.
- Evaluate and integrate third-party APIs, LLMs, and open-source frameworks where applicable.
- Collaborate with data scientists, engineers, and designers to deliver scalable and secure AI solutions.
Thought Leadership
- Serve as a subject matter expert and advisor on the evolving AI landscape, especially in generative and agentic AI.
- Produce whitepapers, POVs, and internal briefings on emerging AI trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Help develop and evangelize the organisation's AI vision and innovation roadmap.
Requirements
Experience
- 3-5 years in AI/ML consulting, product development, or innovation roles, with experience in at least one major AI platform.
- Proven track record of delivering AI/ML projects in enterprise or consulting environments.
- Experience working with at least one or more enterprise AI platforms, such as Microsoft Copilot Studio, Vertex AI Agent Builder, AWS Q and Bedrock.
- Familiarity with prompt engineering, multi-agent systems, knowledge graphs, and LLM fine-tuning.
Skills
- Strong grasp of LLMs, RAG pipelines, vector databases, and orchestration tools.
- Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Project management certifications (e.g., PMP, Scrum Master) are a plus.
- Cloud certifications (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) are advantageous.
Education
- Bachelor's in computer science, Engineering, Data/Analytics, Information Systems or equivalent practical experience
