Key Responsibilities
. Manage and oversee minor improvement, repair, A&A, and renovation works across multiple projects.
. Plan daily site activities, work sequencing, manpower allocation, and coordination of works.
. Source, appoint, and manage subcontractors for various trades (masonry, carpentry, tiling, painting, waterproofing, plastering, etc.).
. Ensure sufficient subcontractor manpower and resources to meet tight MI project timelines.
. Supervise workmanship quality and ensure compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
. Coordinate with clients, building management, consultants, and internal teams, especially for works in occupied buildings.
. Ensure compliance with BCA, SCDF, MOM, and site safety requirements.
. Monitor project progress, control costs, manage variations, and certify subcontractor claims.
. Prepare project budgets, cost estimates, and preliminary pricing to support the tender team.
. Assist in evaluating subcontractor quotations and recommending cost-effective solutions.
. Attend site and coordination meetings and provide regular progress and cost reports to management.
Requirements
. Diploma or Degree in Building, Construction Management, Civil Engineering, M&E Engineering or related discipline.
. Minimum 5 years experience in a managerial position within general building works.
. Strong experience in minor improvement, A&A, and renovation projects is essential.
. Proven ability to source and manage subcontractor resources is mandatory.
. Experience in project budgeting, costing, and tender support is required.
. Good knowledge of construction methods, materials, and renovation sequencing.
. Familiar with Singapore construction regulations and site practices.
. Strong leadership, coordination, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
. Able to manage multiple small to medium-sized projects concurrently.
