1. Project Planning & Coordination
Develop and manage project schedules for electrical and plumbing works.
Review drawings (electrical layouts, SLD, plumbing isometric, P&ID), material submissions, and method statements.
Coordinate with consultants, LEW, architects, main contractors, and suppliers.
Plan manpower for electricians, plumbers, supervisors, and subcontractors.
2. Electrical Work Supervision
Oversee installation of electrical systems including:
Power distribution (MDB/SMDB/DB)
Cabling, trunking, conduits, tray works
ELV and lighting systems
Earthing and lightning protection
Ensure work complies with EMA, SCDF, SS/CP standards.
Troubleshoot electrical issues and ensure proper testing & commissioning.
3. Plumbing & Mechanical Work Supervision
Oversee installation of:
Water supply lines
Sanitary & drainage piping
Pump sets, valves, and control systems
Air-conditioning & ventilation piping (if applicable)
Coordinate pipe routing, pressure testing, and flushing works.
Ensure work follows PUB, BCA, and NEA guidelines.
Troubleshoot plumbing and sanitary system issues on site.
4. Site Management & Execution
Lead daily site operations for both electrical and plumbing teams.
Conduct site inspections, risk assessments, and ensure safe work procedures.
Monitor progress and ensure works meet quality and technical requirements.
Manage subcontractors, solve site conflicts, and ensure smooth workflow.
5. Safety, Quality & Compliance
Enforce WSH Act, PTW, RA/SS, and safety procedures.
Ensure compliance with Singapore Codes of Practice, authority requirements, and inspection standards.
Support LEW inspections and PUB plumbing inspections.
Implement quality control checks for both electrical and plumbing works.
6. Procurement & Cost Management
Review and approve material specifications for electrical and plumbing equipment.
Prepare material take-offs (MTO) for cables, pipes, fittings, panels, etc.
Evaluate supplier/subcontractor quotations and manage budgets.
Track material deliveries, verify quantities, and ensure timely procurement.
7. Documentation & Reporting
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and technical submissions.
Manage documentation for:
As-built drawings
Test reports (Megger tests, continuity tests, pressure tests)
O&M manuals
Handover documentation
Attend project meetings and provide updates to management and clients.
8. Team Leadership
Lead and supervise electrical engineers, plumbing supervisors, technicians, and workers.
Conduct toolbox meetings and technical training sessions.
Evaluate team performance and allocate workforce efficiently.
Requirements
Diploma/Degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or M&E Engineering.
5-8 years of experience in electrical and plumbing/M&E project management.
Strong knowledge of EMA, PUB, SCDF, NEA, BCA, and WSH regulations.
Ability to manage multiple M&E projects independently.
Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.
