Job Description:
The Project Manager Intern will support the Data and Informatics Team at NCIS in managing healthcare data projects and digital transformation initiatives. This role offers exposure to healthcare informatics, project management methodologies, and cancer research data systems within a leading medical institution. The intern will work closely with clinical teams, data scientists, and IT professionals to deliver projects that enhance patient care and research capabilities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist in planning, coordinating, and monitoring data and informatics projects from initiation to completion
• Support project documentation including project plans, status reports, risk registers, and stakeholder communications
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, and project reviews with multidisciplinary teams
• Help track project milestones, deliverables, and budget adherence
• Assist in stakeholder management and communication across clinical, technical, and administrative teams
• Support quality assurance processes for data management and system implementations
• Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the Data and Informatics Team
• Assist in preparing presentations and reports for senior management and project committees
• Help maintain project repositories and documentation systems
• Support change management activities for new system implementations
Job Requirements:
• Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Information Systems, Healthcare Administration, Engineering, or related field
• Strong organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Project)
• Basic understanding of project management principles and methodologies
• Interest in healthcare technology and data management
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies and processes
• Previous experience with project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello, Asana) would be advantageous
