The Global Finance & Technology Network (GFTN) is a not-for-profit organisation established by the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) in 2024 to harness technology and foster innovation for more efficient, resilient, and inclusive financial ecosystems through global partnerships. GFTN organises convening forums, offers advisory services on innovation ecosystems, provides access to transformative digital platforms, and invest in technology startups with the potential for growth and positive social impact through its venture fund.
Forum Leadership & Governance
- Lead end-to-end ownership of the forum, including managing the P&L, governance, delivery outcomes, and project timeline. Experience managing event or programme budgets, with direct accountability for revenue targets, cost control, and commercial reporting to senior leadership.
- Define the forum's value proposition, scope, thematic direction, and strategic objectives by establishing approval processes and alignment with GFTN leadership, partners, and internal governance.
- Define success metrics, track KPIs, run post-event performance reviews, and turn insights into next-year improvements via partner feedback, client feedback and performance data
Execution Excellence & Risk Mitigation
- Lead a multidisciplinary project team across content, government relations, speaker management, customer success, sponsorship fulfilment, marketing, operations, and registration, driving accountability, alignment, and momentum across a matrix structure without relying on formal authority
- Co-develop a master project plan with content, sales, marketing, and operations leads, ensuring milestone ownership, accountability, and alignment across workstreams.
- Apply strong critical-thinking, problem-solving, and risk-management capabilities to anticipate issues and proactively mitigate delivery risks.
- Ensure the forum maintains world-class quality across programme design, partner experience, onsite execution, and audience engagement.
Reporting & Stakeholder Management
- Provide regular project updates and dashboards to the GFTN leadership team, escalating issues requiring senior intervention.
- Prepare reporting as needed to board related to forum progress, risks, commercial outcomes, and strategic decisions.
- Manage external stakeholder relationships, including partners, sponsors, speakers, government agencies, and strategic collaborators.
- Represent GFTN in high-level coordination with international counterparts and senior stakeholders.
Requirements:
- 5+ years of project management experience, ideally in large-scale events, complex programme delivery, or cross-border initiatives. Candidates with recognised project management qualifications (e.g., PMP, Agile) will be prioritised.
- Proven experience delivering international events or programmes and coordinating multiple teams across functions, locations, and seniority levels.
- Strong critical-thinking and structured problem-solving skills, with the ability to navigate ambiguity and manage complex, fast-moving workstreams.
- Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities, including working with senior executives, policymakers, and global partners.
- Strong organisational, communication, and leadership skills, with the ability to influence without authority.
- Ability to thrive in a high-performance environment with tight timelines and high expectations.
- A global mindset and experience working across cultures and jurisdictions is highly desirable.
