Project Junior Site Engineer (ACMV )

Role Overview

The Junior Site Engineer supports the Project Site Engineer and Project Manager in the daily coordination, supervision, and execution of construction works. This role focuses on assisting with site operations, quality checks, technical documentation, and problem solving activities to ensure smooth project progress. The Junior Site Engineer acts as an essential link between technical plans and on site implementation, helping maintain compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and timelines.

Key Responsibilities

Project Coordination & Support

Assist the Project Site Engineer in managing day to day site activities to ensure alignment with approved schedules, budgets, and design requirements.
Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to ensure work is carried out according to specifications and timelines.
Review basic technical drawings, plans, and construction documents to ensure accuracy and proper execution on-site.
Support the monitoring of work progress and highlight any deviations or potential delays.

Quality Assurance & Control

Conduct routine site inspections to check workmanship quality, adherence to technical specifications, and compliance with safety regulations.
Assist in resolving minor technical issues encountered during construction and escalate complex matters to senior engineers.
Help implement quality control procedures and enforce safety standards to maintain high-quality work on-site.

Procurement & Material Management

Assist in the procurement of materials, tools, and equipment required for daily site operations.
Monitor material deliveries and ensure items received match specifications and quantity requirements.
Track inventory levels and support material stock management to prevent shortages or delays.

Documentation & Reporting

Prepare and maintain accurate site records, including daily site reports, progress updates, and inspection logs.
Assist in documenting changes to the scope of work and ensure proper communication with relevant parties.
Support the preparation of reports for the Project Site Engineer, Project Manager, clients, and stakeholders, highlighting progress, issues, and upcoming milestones.

Problem Solving & Technical Support

Provide basic technical support to site teams, addressing engineering or design-related queries under supervision.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and designers to implement minor adjustments or clarifications to plans.
Assist in coordinating solutions for technical challenges to minimize disruptions to project progress.

Health, Safety, and Environmental Compliance

Ensure all site activities comply with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Support the implementation of safety protocols and participate in regular safety audits.
Promote a safety-first culture and assist in providing guidance or training to workers on safe work practices.

Requirements

Degree or Diploma in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related discipline.
Fresh graduates may be considered for junior roles
Basic knowledge of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and technical documents.
Proficiency in project-related software (e.g., AutoCAD, MS Project).
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Good communication skills (verbal and written).
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Strong teamwork and coordination abilities.
Any certifications related to construction safety, site supervision, or engineering (e.g., WSQ, WSH-related courses).
Additional technical certifications relevant to construction management or engineering.
