Responsibilities:
The scope of Project Engineer shall include but not be limited to, the
following:
• Review project related submission (specification, drawing, test
procedure and method statement etc.) and facilitate project team in
the following-up to ensure the submission is compliant with project
requirement;
• Supervise on-site installation, testing and commissioning,
interfacing matters, integration testing, punchlist/defect work and
handover activity to ensure the quality of work is compliant with
project requirement;
• Coordinate with project team, contractors, interfacing contractors
and other project stakeholders to resolve site issues and clashes to
ensure the work is in line with project requirement;
• Facilitate project team to monitor the project schedule, update,
review and report the project progress to be in line with project
timeline;
• Attend project related meetings to ensure project delivery is on
track
Supervise site surveys, FO routing verification, cable installation,
network equipment installation and testing and commissioning
activities;
• Facilitate resolution of site constraints, routing conflicts, FO core
allocation issues and implementation-related technical matters;
• Support the troubleshooting and resolution of network equipment
configuration issues, communication failures, network connectivity
issues and system integration issues encountered during
installation, testing, commissioning and migration activities.
(b) Qualifications & Requirements:
• Recognised diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronics,
Telecommunications, Computer, Network, Mechanical Engineering,
or a related engineering discipline;
• Relevant project management experience:
o At least 3 years in project coordination, site installation,
testing and commissioning of rail E&M system,
communications network or fibre optic infrastructure in
Singapore transit environment; and
o Relevant experience in coordinating and interfacing with
local transit stakeholders (i.e. railway/transit operator) to
carry out A&A, system upgrading or new system
implementation work at revenue stations; and
o Familiarity with Permit-to-Work (PTW), Mod Approval,
engineering access procedures and stakeholder
coordination in railway environments would be an
advantage; and
o Be expected to perform night work or engineering-hours
work where required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, BIM or similar drawing tools
for design drawing review;
