We are seeking a Project Engineer to join our team and support the development and execution of large-scale renewable energy projects in the region. This role provides an excellent opportunity to work on high-capex projects, including solar, battery energy storage systems (BESS), and transmission infrastructure. The ideal candidate should be comfortable with project work beyond detailed engineering, including coordination, planning, and execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the end-to-end engineering and planning of subsea cable routes, landfall design, and HDD interface requirements.
- Support the execution of offshore operations, including cable lay, beach pull, pre-trenching, and cable pull-in activities.
- Contribute to the preparation and review of engineering drawings, method statements, risk assessments, and installation procedures.
- Work with survey teams to interpret geophysical/geotechnical data and apply findings to cable routing and design.
- Liaise with contractors and regulatory bodies to support permitting and submission processes (e.g., COMET, MPA, JTC, BCA in Singapore).
- Assist with interface coordination between onshore and offshore works, including HDD exit alignment and float-out activities.
- Participate in technical clarifications, tender evaluations, and vendor coordination under the guidance of senior team members.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Civil, Electrical, Marine, Offshore Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in subsea cable engineering, marine infrastructure, or offshore project environments.
- Basic knowledge of HDD, cable laying methods, and offshore installation techniques.
- Familiarity with interpreting survey data and engineering documentation.
- Exposure to regulatory submissions or permitting processes is a plus.
- Strong communication, coordination, and analytical skills.
- Willingness to support offshore/site activities when required.
