Job Summary
Support project management by coordinating contract execution, preparing technical documentation, managing schedules, and ensuring quality and compliance across multiple construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Manager in monitoring contract progress and executing project plans effectively
- Prepare, review, and submit shop drawings, catalogues, and engineering calculations to meet project requirements
- Develop and maintain detailed project schedules and forecasts to track progress and anticipate risks
- Calculate bill of materials and engineering deliverables to support procurement and construction activities
- Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project schedules
- Oversee implementation of projects by collaborating with subcontractors and internal teams to ensure construction accuracy
- Monitor quality of completed work through inspections and recommend improvements for effective project management
- Support project controls, budgeting, and planning activities to optimize resource allocation and cost management
- Assist in design and execution of multiple simultaneous projects, ensuring compliance with specifications and drawings
- Develop method statements and testing procedures to standardize work processes and ensure quality
- Prepare comprehensive project status and progress reports for stakeholders
- Participate actively in progress and technical meetings to communicate updates and resolve issues
- Produce clear reports and documentation to maintain accurate project records
- Facilitate effective communication among engineering, technical, construction, and project control teams
- Inspect installations and operations to verify compliance with design specifications and safety standards
- Provide administrative support to the Project Manager on all project-related matters
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or equivalent
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in the local construction industry
- Experience with Addition & Alteration (A&A) projects
- Experience in precast design
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively with diverse teams
- Ability to work independently and manage pressure to meet tight project deadlines
- Positive working attitude and readiness to start immediately or within a short notice period
