Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and hands-on Project Engineer to support the execution of engineering projects within semiconductor manufacturing and industrial environments. This role involves working across multiple systems, including gas distribution, mechanical installations, electrical and control systems, as well as facility hook-up works.
You will play a key role in coordinating site activities, ensuring smooth project delivery, and supporting technical and operational requirements from planning through to completion.
Job Description
- Assist in managing project execution from initial planning to site completion and final handover
- Coordinate installation and hook-up works across mechanical, electrical, control, and process systems
- Monitor site progress to ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with safety and quality standards
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to prepare documentation and project deliverables
- Act as a point of contact for customers on project-related matters, ensuring clear communication and timely follow-up
- Prepare technical reports and documentation, including basic engineering sketches where required
- Liaise with subcontractors and supervise on-site activities to ensure work is executed according to specifications
- Utilize tools such as AutoCAD to support layout planning and technical coordination
- Provide regular project updates, highlight risks, and escalate issues when necessary
- Troubleshoot site issues and support continuous improvement initiatives
Job Requirements
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline
- Exposure or interest in semiconductor, cleanroom, or industrial project environments
- Minimum 1-2 years of experience in managing onsite projects
- Familiarity with AutoCAD or similar CAD software
- Candidates with CSOC and WAH certificates will be an added advantage
- Self-driven, resourceful, and able to work independently on-site
- Willingness to travel or be deployed to project sites as required
