Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to lead and support engineering and project execution activities within the Oil & Gas and Marine industry. You will coordinate technical, logistics, and operational requirements to ensure the successful delivery of complex projects locally and internationally, meeting timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead project planning, coordination, and execution to achieve timely and budget-compliant delivery
- Provide engineering and technical support for ongoing and upcoming projects to ensure technical accuracy and feasibility
- Prepare footprint, layout, and technical drawings to support project design and execution
- Develop detailed project execution plans, schedules, and operational procedures to guide project teams
- Liaise with contractors, suppliers, and service providers to ensure alignment with project requirements and standards
- Deliver technical clarifications and support for commercial proposals and tender submissions to facilitate project acquisition
- Coordinate equipment sourcing and material requests to meet project timelines and specifications
- Collaborate with internal departments to ensure timely delivery of materials, services, and vessel support locally and internationally
- Manage and coordinate with marine port agents and freight forwarding agents to streamline logistics operations
- Compile, maintain, and ensure accuracy of project logistics and operational documentation for compliance and reporting
- Ensure compliance with customs regulations and statutory requirements to avoid project delays
- Coordinate procurement and delivery of marine fuel as required to support vessel operations
- Arrange project transportation logistics, including cranes, forklifts, trailers, and other support equipment to facilitate project activities
- Oversee sea and air freight import and export operations to ensure smooth project logistics
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Marine, Offshore, or equivalent)
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Relevant technical certifications or marine/offshore exposure
- Minimum 2 years of experience in project engineering, preferably within the engineering, Oil & Gas, Marine, or Offshore industries
- Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from inception to completion
- Proficient in project management tools and techniques, including scheduling, resource management, and risk mitigation
- Up-to-date knowledge of industry regulations, safety standards, and best practices
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and AutoCAD or similar engineering software
- Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills to address project challenges creatively and analytically
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of logistics, marine operations, and international shipping processes
