Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to oversee the installation, commissioning, and integration of pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment. This role involves managing interconnecting piping systems, electrical utilities, and automation interfaces to ensure seamless operation in compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Execution
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise installation of process equipment. Ensure proper alignment, anchoring, and utility connections (piping, electrical, HVAC, compressed air, etc.).Oversee commissioning and qualification activities (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Technical Coordination
- Review engineering drawings, P&IDs, and electrical schematics. Collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and automation teams for system integration.
- Ensure compliance with GMP, FDA, and other regulatory standards.
- Utility & System Integration
- Manage installation of interconnecting piping (process, utility, and clean systems).
- Supervise electrical cabling, control panels, and instrumentation setup.
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for utility tie-ins and equipment hookups.
- Quality & Safety
- Implement safety protocols during installation and commissioning.
- Conduct inspections and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Prepare documentation for validation and regulatory audits.
- Project Management
- Develop project schedules, resource plans, and progress reports. Monitor budgets and control costs related to installation activities
- Liaise with stakeholders, vendors, and cross-functional teams.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in equipment installation or industrial projects.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, FDA, and regulatory compliance.
- Hands-on experience with piping systems, electrical utilities, and automation integration.
- Proficiency in project management tools and CAD software.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with mechanical equipment installation.
- Knowledge of validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ).
- Familiarity with automation systems.
- Ability to manage multiple contractors and vendors simultaneously.
