Project Engineer

Your Job

We are looking for an Engineer, Project to provide project management and engineering coordination support for divisionlevel initiatives. This role is responsible for driving projects from scope definition through execution, while ensuring alignment across operations, engineering, supply chain, and global stakeholders.

Our Team

You will work closely with Operations, Quality, Manufacturing Engineering, Supply Chain, Procurement, and Global Product Managers across Molex entities. The role partners crossfunctionally to deliver projects safely, on time, and within scope.

What You Will Do

• Define project scope, objectives, deliverables, and execution plans in collaboration with stakeholders
• Develop and maintain project documentation including charters, schedules, cost estimates, and risk registers
• Track project progress against milestones identify risks, constraints, and mitigation plans
• Support commissioning, startup, and handover to operations, ensuring punchlist closure
• Provide engineering support for equipment selection, specifications, and design reviews
• Coordinate with internal and external engineering disciplines (process, mechanical, electrical) on divisionled initiatives
• Evaluate project requirements and support selection of suitable manufacturing sites
• Provide regular project updates through dashboards, reports, and meetings
• Facilitate crossfunctional alignment and escalate issues with recommended solutions
• Support division initiatives and perform other duties as assigned by Management

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, Industrial Engineering, or related discipline
• 5+ years of experience in engineering and/or project execution within a manufacturing environment
• Working knowledge of project management fundamentals (scope, schedule, cost, risk)
• Strong communication, organization, and problemsolving skills
• Demonstrated ownership, followthrough, and stakeholder management capability
• Safetyfocused with practical engineering judgment and continuous improvement mindset

What Will Put You Ahead

• Experience in project management roles within manufacturing or operations
• Exposure to product or equipment transfers between manufacturing plants
• Experience using tools such as MS Project or Primavera, SAP/Maximo, AutoCAD, or document control systems
• Project management certification or training (e.g. PMP / CAPM)
• Ability to communicate in Mandarin to support business interactions with Chinabased stakeholders
