Project Engineer (Mechanical / Electrical)

Job Description

• To lead site construction team in ensuring smooth execution of work.
• Coordinate and supervise project work on various site.
• Manage project schedule efficiently.
• Review M&E drawings.
• Implement project planning, design, material requisition, cost control and documentation.
• Ensure smooth progress of works on site and timely completion.
• Liaise closely with clients, consultants and suppliers on all project related matter.
• Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery.
• Prepare and validate engineering calculations and designs for fire protection and suppression systems to meet project specifications.
• Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and project specifications to guide project execution
• Coordinate communication and collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to drive seamless project progress
• Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, fire codes, and company policies to maintain safety and quality
• Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and on-site technicians to resolve issues and optimize installation quality
• Conduct site inspections to verify installations align with design specifications and quality standards
• Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges during project execution to minimize delays and cost overruns
• Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, reports, and records to ensure traceability and accessibility
• Prepare and submit technical and progress reports to stakeholders to communicate project status and outcomes
• Implement and oversee quality assurance and control procedures to uphold workmanship standards
• Promote and enforce work health and safety practices on project sites to foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance
• Participate actively in safety meetings and training sessions to continuously improve safety awareness and practices
• Any ad-hoc duties assign by Management

Requirements

• Degree in (Mechanical / Electrical) engineering or in any engineering field.
• Prior experience in M&E and fit out works would be an added advantage.
• Office proficient in (AutoCAD / Microsoft Office)
• Fluent in English, both written & spoken.
• Independent, resourceful, pro-active and team player.
• Possess good organization, planning and project management skills
• Ability to work under tight deadlines
