Job Summary
Assist in planning, designing, and executing fire protection projects by coordinating cross-functional teams, ensuring compliance with standards, and delivering high-quality technical solutions that support business growth and operational excellence.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to ensure efficient project delivery
- Prepare and validate engineering calculations and designs for fire protection and suppression systems to meet project specifications
- Review and interpret technical documents, drawings, and project specifications to guide project execution
- Coordinate communication and collaboration with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams to drive seamless project progress
- Monitor project milestones and provide timely updates to Project/Technical Manager to support informed decision-making
- Ensure all project activities comply with industry standards, local regulations, fire codes, and company policies to maintain safety and quality
- Provide technical guidance and support to project teams and on-site technicians to resolve issues and optimize installation quality
- Conduct site inspections to verify installations align with design specifications and quality standards
- Identify and troubleshoot technical challenges during project execution to minimize delays and cost overruns
- Maintain comprehensive project documentation including plans, reports, and records to ensure traceability and accessibility
- Prepare and submit technical and progress reports to stakeholders to communicate project status and outcomes
- Implement and oversee quality assurance and control procedures to uphold workmanship standards
- Promote and enforce work health and safety practices on project sites to foster a culture of safety and regulatory compliance
- Participate actively in safety meetings and training sessions to continuously improve safety awareness and practices
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field
- Minimum of 2 years of project engineering experience, preferably within fire protection or M&E industries
- Strong knowledge of fire protection systems design, installation, and maintenance
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and other engineering design software
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders
- Strong problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment
