The role and responsibilities include, but are not limited to,
Tendering & Quotation (Key Responsibility)
- Prepare and manage tenders and quotations based on project requirements.
- Review tender documents, drawings, and specifications.
- Analyse and compare products and services to propose suitable solutions.
- Propose alternative products or value-engineering solutions when required.
- Examine client requirements and scope of work to prepare accurate quotations.
- Prepare technical specifications and compliance documents.
- Maintain and update supplier information, including product ranges, pricing, and delivery schedules.
- Liaise with suppliers on technical and commercial matters.
Lighting Design & Technical Support
Project Coordination & Execution
- Coordinate and manage project activities to ensure smooth and timely completion.
- Monitor project progress and provide accurate and timely updates to management.
- Coordinate with consultants, subcontractors, and internal teams.
- Attend site meetings and inspections.
- Assist in project documentation and submissions.
- Handle project risk management and issue escalation.
General Duties
- Support the Project Manager in project-related tasks.
- Assist in resolving technical or site-related issues.
- Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
Job Requirement
- Diploma or Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or related discipline.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Project Engineer in the local construction industry.
- Experience in tender preparation and costing will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of lighting products or lighting design is preferred.
- Familiarity with software such as AutoCAD and Dialux is an advantage.
- Good communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
- Able to work in a fast-paced and result-driven environment.
