Job Summary
Lead and coordinate engineering projects by managing schedules, resources, and client interactions to ensure quality, compliance, and profitability in structural steel and construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Prepare, schedule, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects to ensure timely and efficient delivery of structural steel and construction solutions
- Formulate project parameters and assign tasks to qualified employees to optimize team performance and meet project goals
- Engage with clients to interpret their needs and represent their interests throughout project execution
- Perform quality control on budgets, schedules, plans, and personnel performance, reporting project status accurately to stakeholders
- Collaborate with project managers and senior engineers to develop efficient project methods that maintain profitability
- Review engineering tasks regularly and initiate corrective actions to resolve issues promptly and maintain project quality
- Develop detailed specifications for project equipment to meet technical standards and client requirements
- Create frameworks to measure project metrics and collect relevant data for performance evaluation and continuous improvement
- Establish and implement field test methods and quality monitoring procedures to ensure reliability and compliance
- Ensure all projects comply with applicable codes, policies, performance standards, and specifications
Required competencies and certifications
- Diploma or Degree in Engineering
- Minimum 3 years of experience in construction or structural steel projects
- Proficient in AutoCAD for design and drafting tasks
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
- Strong verbal and written communication skills to convey technical information confidently
