Job Summary
Supervise and coordinate daily project operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and contractual terms. Monitor progress, perform quality control, support planning, and assist in document preparation to deliver successful construction projects.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily project operations and coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants to ensure smooth workflow and timely delivery
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations on-site to maintain a safe working environment
- Monitor project progress and prepare detailed progress reports for management to support informed decision-making
- Perform quality control checks on-site and resolve issues promptly to uphold project standards
- Support project planning by allocating resources and scheduling tasks to optimize efficiency
- Conduct site inspections to verify all work complies with contractual terms and specifications
- Assist in preparing essential documents such as Method Statements, Risk Assessments, and Permit to Work to ensure regulatory and procedural adherence
Required competencies and certifications
- Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
- Proven experience in a similar role (1-5 years depending on level)
- Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and legal regulations
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
- Organisational and communication skills to coordinate teams and stakeholders effectively
- Problem-solving and decision-making abilities to address on-site challenges
- Willingness to work on-site under varying conditions
