Project Engineer (Food Manufacturing)

Working for a large global Food producer, as Project Engineer, you will oversee and coordinate all plant‑related projects from planning through execution, ensuring they meet technical, safety, quality, and compliance standards. You will act as the primary interface for Operations, Finance, Logistics, and RDQ on matters related to innovation, technology upgrades, capacity enhancement, productivity improvements, and compliance projects.

You will also ensure adherence to MI/FSSC/ISO/HSE guidelines and support the plant in meeting audit requirements through strong process discipline and alignment with BD&E procedures.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end project planning, scheduling, and milestone management.

• Provide technical oversight by reviewing blueprints, design drawings, and engineering specifications.

• Conduct site inspections and enforce safety and quality standards.

• Serve as the main communication link between internal teams, contractors, suppliers, and stakeholders.

• Track project budgets, resources, materials, and equipment.

• Support Innovation/NPD commercialization and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant.

• Benchmark best practices and leverage world‑class equipment and supplier knowledge to enhance plant capabilities.

Key Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering.

• 3-5 years of experience in a food manufacturing plant.

• Strong knowledge of industry best practices and plant operations.

• Proven experience in project management and inter‑company business coordination.

• Strong change management and business development capabilities.

• Demonstrated ability to coordinate, negotiate, and communicate with cross‑functional teams, vendors, and regulatory bodies.

• Highly action‑oriented with strong analytical, problem‑solving, and program management skills.

• Excellent interpersonal communication skills and ability to work effectively across multiple levels.

• Internal: Production, PPIC, Engineering, Supply Planning, PCM, RDQ, Marketing

• External: Equipment suppliers, RM/PM suppliers
