Project Engineer

RESPONSIBILITIES

. Preparing, scheduling, coordinating and monitoring the assigned multistorey structural steel projects.

. Monitoring compliance to applicable codes, standards, QA/QC safety regulations, performance standards and specifications.

. Interacting daily with the clients to interpret their needs and requirements and representing them in the project sites.

. Reviews Client's technical documentation and requirements.

. Maintains project technical files.

. Develops Method Statement of Structural Steel Erection and Execution of project.

. Prepares MTO and BOQ.

. Prepares Scope Of Work and technical specification for steel structure sub building projects.

. Prepares technical documentation for steel structure material requisition and assists the procurement department in the technical evaluations.

. Develop project objectives by reviewing project proposals and plans conferring with management.

. Prepares Daily Progress report.

. To prepare and allocate manpower for steel structure erection works.

. Maintains project schedule by monitoring project progress and coordinating activities with all Supervisor, QA/QC, Surveyor and Key Workers.

. Provide the direction in construction planning as assigned, coordinate works with Project Team, Client & Consultants.

. Carry out the in-progress inspection to ensure the works were executed to the required quality standard.

. To monitor and prepare reports for the compliance of the delivered materials to project specifications, codes of practices, ITP & QA/QC procedures.

. Manage and execute the project in cost-effective, on-time delivery with quality standards to meets client expectations.

. Attend meetings, correspondences and liaise with clients, sub-contractors and suppliers in resolving design and site problems encountered during the construction period.

. Raise technical queries such as RFI/RFC if necessary.

. Undertaking duties and or responsibilities when appropriately assigned by HOD.

. Coordinate and work closely with Main Contractor and suppliers to meet project deadlines and meetings.

. Coordinate with Planning Engineer on delivery items and schedule.

. Able to handle and solve issues at site throughout the whole project.

. Supervising team and ensuring high standard of safety practices are carried out at all times.

. Responsible for assign daily works to Supervisors and monitoring of daily work and process and progress at project site.

REQUIREMENTS

. Minimum 5 years of experience in High Rise Structural Steel works construction building Example: - More than 30 storey Building, Long Span Truss, Heavy Steel Works.

. Proficient in Autocad and Tekla Viewer.

. Capable of meeting deadlines.

. Ability to work in a team environment.

. Work on own, as required and able to use your own initiative.

. Good communication skills and effective team player.

. Able to converse and write in English in order to communicate with clients and vendors.

. Minimum Diploma in Civil or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

. Good knowledge of Steel work construction standard operating procedures and proficiency in Microsoft Office & neat Autocad drawings.

. Applicants must be able and willing to handle multiple projects at the same time.
