Project Engineer

Our company is seeking a dedicated and motivated Project Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will assist in managing project activities, ensuring that works are completed on time, within scope, and according to the required quality and safety standards.

The candidate will also be responsible for preparing shop drawings using AutoCAD, coordinating with project stakeholders, and supporting the project team throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

. Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordination, and execution of project activities at site.

. Review and interpret construction drawings and technical specifications.

. Prepare and submit Requests for Information (RFIs) and technical submissions.

. Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports for project updates.

. Support the installation team by preparing working drawings for site installation.

. Prepare and submit shop drawings and as-built drawings to clients and follow up on approvals.

. Liaise with Qualified Person (QP) and clients regarding ST/BCA submissions and approvals.

. Attend design meetings and coordination discussions with engineers, project managers, clients, and consultants.

. Review consultant design drawings and specifications to ensure compliance with project requirements.

. Maintain proper documentation and filing of project records for future reference.

. Ensure all site works are carried out in compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) regulations.

. Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the Project Manager.

Requirements

. Bachelor's Degree or Polytechnic Diploma in Engineering or related field.

. Proven experience in the construction industry in a similar role will be an advantage.

. Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.

. BCSS safety certificate is a minimum requirement other local safety certifications will be an added advantage.

. Basic understanding of environmental and safety regulations.

. Good knowledge of engineering and construction principles.

. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.

. Good time management and organizational skills.

. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.

. Good verbal and written communication skills.

. Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet project deadlines.

. Knowledge of Hostile Vehicle Mitigation systems and BIM software will be an added advantage
