Main Role and Responsibilities
Planning and Design of Electrical engineering works for building services projects to deliver buildable design within a timely manner, and economical service to meet client's requirement. Incumbent must influence across services without formal authority and manage the success of projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design of electrical services such as sub-station, small power, lighting, security system, data cabling, public address system etc.
- Presentation of design concept report to client.
- Preparation of M&E cost estimate base on approved design scheme.
- Preparation of technical specifications and tender documentation.
- Co-ordination of M&E services within the office.
- Reviewing of shop drawings, material submissions and handle RFIs.
- Verification of Work Progress and Variation Order for progress claim.
- Liaise with main contractor, architect, authorities to ensure technical compliance and timely completion of project.
- Carry out site investigation survey and submitting of technical reports.
- Project Management from pre-development through to completion, including the following
Site Assessment and Inspection
Design development and co-ordination
Attend site meetings, technical meetings etc to resolve technical issues.
Following up with authorities on submissions, inspection and issuance of certification.
Prerequisites
- Degree in Electrical Engineering
- At least 3 years hands-on experience in design in an engineering consultancy firm for degree holder. Candidates with professional engineer registration would be considered for senior position.
- Experience in handling full cycle of building service projects and proven track record with strong background in Electrical Design.
- Good understanding of Singapore Code of Practice and authority submission process.
- Confident and have strong presentation & communication skills
- Able to work independently as well as in a team setting
