Job Description
Responsibilities
- Manage project activities from initiation through completion, ensuring key deliverables and milestones are achieved within the agreed schedule.
- Develop and maintain the master project schedule while monitoring progress against established milestones and deadlines.
- Coordinate with internal departments, customers, consultants, contractors, distributors, and other external stakeholders to ensure smooth project implementation.
- Monitor the responsibilities of relevant functions and follow up to ensure all project activities remain on schedule.
- Plan, coordinate, and lead Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) with customers and distributors.
- Ensure all technical and project documentation is completed, reviewed, agreed upon, and approved prior to delivery.
- Plan and coordinate on-site testing, commissioning, and handover activities to ensure a smooth transition to the aftermarket/service team.
- Provide first-level technical support and troubleshooting assistance throughout project execution.
- Collaborate with engineering teams on project feasibility studies and support the Industrial Solutions team in preparing project cost estimates related to project management activities.
- Prepare and submit monthly project status reports highlighting progress, key issues, risks, concerns, and upcoming milestones.
- Provide engineering support for third-party products and technical drawings required for project submittals.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project execution, processes, and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with overseas/interplant teams on product deliveries, factory testing, technical documentation, and other project requirements.
- Work closely with scheduling, customer service, production, and other relevant teams to provide project updates during weekly project meetings.
- Attend weekly site coordination meetings with main contractors and consultants when required.
- Supervise and manage site installation activities, ensuring completion within the specified project timeline.
- Coordinate with subcontractors on site installation works, technical drawings, material submissions, and other project-related requirements.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 2-3 years of relevant experience or
- Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering with 5-7 years of relevant experience.
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and coordination skills, with good written and verbal communication abilities.
- Ability to read, understand, and interpret Mechanical & Electrical (M&E) drawings.
- Knowledge of generators, control systems, associated equipment, and accessories will be an advantage.
- Familiarity with applicable generator standards, codes, and industry requirements will be an advantage.
