Ding Yi Concept Pte. Ltd. is seeking a Project Engineer to coordinate and support structural steel and construction projects from planning through completion.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Project Manager, consultants, clients, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams. Responsibilities include reviewing drawings, coordinating site activities, preparing project documentation, monitoring progress and supporting quantity take-off and cost-control activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist the Project Manager in planning, coordinating and executing projects.
  • Review construction, structural steel and M&E drawings.
  • Coordinate fabrication, delivery and installation of structural steel components.
  • Supervise daily site activities and monitor work progress.
  • Ensure works are carried out according to approved drawings, specifications, quality requirements and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with clients, consultants, subcontractors, suppliers and site personnel.
  • Prepare work schedules, progress reports, method statements and project documentation.
  • Identify and resolve technical and site coordination issues.
  • Conduct quantity take-offs and assist with Bills of Quantities.
  • Request, evaluate and compare quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Assist with cost estimation, budget monitoring and material procurement.
  • Prepare and support progress claims and variation orders.
  • Check material specifications, mill certificates and other technical documents.
  • Prepare or update AutoCAD shop drawings and as-built drawings.
  • Maintain proper records of drawings, submissions, inspections and project correspondence.
  • Assist with testing, inspection, project handover and final documentation.
  • Perform other project-related duties assigned by the Project Manager or management.

Requirements

  • Diploma or bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Construction Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum two years of relevant experience in construction or project engineering.
  • Able to read and understand construction and structural drawings.
  • Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office.
  • Experience with structural steel works, site coordination or as-built drawings is advantageous.
  • Experience with quantity take-offs, cost estimation, progress claims or variation orders is advantageous.
  • Good planning, documentation and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to coordinate effectively with consultants, suppliers, subcontractors and site teams.
  • Able to work independently and manage multiple deadlines.
  • Willing to work at different project locations in Singapore when required.

Reporting Structure

The Project Engineer will report directly to the Project Manager. Matters involving project budgets, tenders and major procurement decisions will be referred to management for approval.
