PROJECT ENGINEER - CONSTRUCTION

Job Responsibilities

• Drive project efficiency and support cost-effective project delivery to maximize profitability.
• Define project requirements and coordinate the procurement of materials necessary for successful project execution.
• Establish project scope, technical specifications, and implementation parameters.
• Allocate project tasks and responsibilities to the appropriate team members while monitoring progress.
• Develop, execute, and oversee the full project lifecycle from initiation through completion.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist the Project Director in setting project objectives, procedures, performance benchmarks, and data collection methodologies in line with company standards and policies.
• Coordinate construction schedules and provide regular updates on project progress, manpower requirements, and equipment utilization.
• Develop and implement testing and monitoring processes to track project performance and quality standards.
• Communicate schedule changes promptly to supervisors, subcontractors, and relevant stakeholders, ensuring smooth project execution and timely completion.
• Monitor project budgets, timelines, and documentation, providing regular progress reports and highlighting any risks that may impact cost, quality, or schedule.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality assurance requirements, and project specifications throughout all project phases.
• Collaborate closely with subcontractors, consultants, clients, and internal stakeholders to achieve project objectives.

Requirements

• Diploma or Degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and other Computer-Aided Design (CAD) software applications.
• Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, construction plans, and tender documentation.
• Comfortable working in a site-based environment and managing on-site project activities.
• Experience coordinating with subcontractors, clients, consultants, and various project stakeholders.
• Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of construction methodologies, project planning, budgeting, and quality management practices.
