We are seeking an experienced and registered Project Engineer to lead the civil and structural design of landed residential projects.
This role involves overseeing structural design, ensuring regulatory compliance, certifying structural safety, and providing technical leadership from design development through project completion.
Job Responsibilities
Structural Design & Engineering
Lead the design, analysis, and detailing of civil and structural components for landed residential developments.
Ensure structural integrity, safety, durability, and cost efficiency in all engineering solutions.
Review and validate structural calculations and technical documentation.
Regulatory Compliance (QP Duties)
Act as the Qualified Person (PE) for structural submissions.
Prepare, endorse, and submit structural plans and calculations to relevant authorities (e.g., BCA) for approval.
Ensure compliance with prevailing building codes, safety standards, and statutory requirements.
Site Supervision & Inspection
Conduct periodic site inspections to verify that works are carried out in accordance with approved plans, geotechnical reports, and regulatory standards.
Monitor structural quality and workmanship during construction.
Project Coordination
Collaborate closely with the Architect (QP), contractors, and M&E consultants to resolve technical issues and coordinate structural integration.
Provide engineering input to optimize design efficiency and constructability.
Risk Assessment & Mitigation
Identify potential structural and geotechnical risks at early stages.
Develop and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays, safety concerns, or cost overruns.
Certification & Project Close-Out
Issue required structural certifications (e.g., TOP/CSC).
Review and endorse as-built drawings prior to project completion.
Technical Problem-Solving
Provide on-site engineering solutions for unforeseen conditions, including soil instability, underpinning works, or retaining wall construction challenges.
Job Responsibilities
Minimum Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (PEB).
At least 6 years of relevant experience, with strong exposure to landed residential projects.
Experience in Addition & Alteration (A&A) works is highly advantageous.
Proficient in structural analysis software such as ETABS, Prokon, or equivalent platforms.
Strong knowledge of geotechnical considerations related to landed properties.
Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills.
Decisive and solution-oriented.
Effective communicator with the ability to coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
