Job Description
You'll have the opportunity to work within our Life Sciences team, managing investment projects from initial definition through construction, qualification, and final handover. You will coordinate project scope, cost, schedule, quality, safety, procurement, and external partners to deliver projects that meet operational requirements.
ABOUT THE JOB
- Prepare project charters, business cases, capital appropriation requests, and project initiation documents
- Define project scope and develop business requirements, work breakdown structures, cost breakdown structures, and project schedules
- Prepare cost estimates and conduct value-improvement reviews
- Develop project execution, controlling, sourcing, procurement, training, and document-management plans
- Select suitable project delivery methods and organize the resources required for execution
- Assess and manage project risks relating to safety, quality, functionality, cost, schedule, and execution
- Develop the project HSE strategy and conduct safety reviews and stop-work interventions when required
- Lead procurement activities, including tendering, bid evaluation, and the placement of orders or contracts based on technical specifications and bills of quantities
- Monitor and report project costs, schedules, risks, quality, and progress
- Establish project change-control processes and manage approved changes
- Coordinate statutory permit submissions and applicable regulatory requirements
- Lead project stage-gate reviews and project-definition maturity assessments
- Organize technical quality, constructability, and project-readiness reviews
- Manage vendors, contractors, consultants, and other external partners
- Establish and manage project claims, deficiencies, and deviations
- Oversee construction management, equipment installation, contractor safety, and inspection activities
- Coordinate equipment FAT, SAT, inspections, and project acceptance activities
- Develop the turnover strategy and manage provisional and final project handover
- Prepare the final project report and capture benchmarking data and lessons learned
- Deliver investment projects in line with agreed cost, schedule, functionality, quality, and safety objectives
ABOUT YOU
- Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, or a related technical field
- You have 4-6 years of experience managing engineering, CAPEX, construction, or investment projects within a regulated industrial environment
- You have experience developing project charters, business cases, scopes, schedules, budgets, and execution plans
- You understand project cost estimation, cost control, forecasting, and value-improvement principles
- You have experience with procurement, tendering, contract administration, vendor management, or claims management
- You can manage projects through stage-gate processes, construction, commissioning, and handover
- You are familiar with FAT, SAT, equipment inspections, and technical acceptance activities
- You have experience managing project risks, changes, deficiencies, and deviations
- You understand construction safety, HSE requirements, and contractor supervision
- You can coordinate multidisciplinary teams, contractors, vendors, and other project stakeholders
- You demonstrate strong planning, leadership, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills
- You can work independently and manage several project priorities while maintaining control of cost, schedule, quality, and safety
