SUMMARY
Supports the execution of aircraft modification programs through the coordination of technical and certification activities with various internal and external stakeholders including the engineering team, suppliers and certification authorities. The role requires strong attention to detail, proactive risk management and discipline to see through the project activities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Support project management of aircraft cabin interior modification projects, reporting to the Senior Manager, Program Management.
- Coordinate the project technical work scope with the Engineering Team, monitor the engineering deliverables, and support change impact assessments to the project plan and budget driven by out-of-scope items.
- Participate in design reviews and stakeholder meetings, provide onsite modification support, and track action items to ensure timely closure to meet project objectives and schedule.
- Assist in monitoring project milestones and managing overall schedule.
- Identify risks, gaps, and discrepancies, and support mitigation and/or recovery plans.
- Support the development of bill of materials, modification kits, standards, or specifications as required to align with the project budget and schedule.
- Provide regular project status updates and escalate critical issues in a timely and structured manner.
- Support supply chain, logistics and proposal development activities related to the assigned projects.
- Travel internationally as required.
- Other duties as assigned.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in engineering (Aerospace-related or Mechanical Engineering) Experience in the related commercial aircraft field, especially in cabin interior modification projects would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of project management methodologies. Knowledge of procurement and logistics would be an added advantage.
- Knowledge of FAA CFR 14 Part 25 and equivalent EASA CS Regulations including familiarity with Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) processes would be an added advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, and/ or other project tracking tools. Knowledge in AI is good to have.
- Strong organizational skills and high attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with both internal and external stakeholders, including the ability to deal with customer-facing and authority-facing discussions with confidence and professionalism.
- Good problem-solving skills and able to contribute ideas that align with the program objectives and management direction.
- Possess ability to independently lead small to mid-size modification projects with minimal supervision.
- Possess at least two (2) to four (4) years of engineering and/or project management experience in a technical field. Candidates who have more years of experience will be considered for senior positions.
