Job Description

RESPONSIBILITIES (E.g. Job Scope)

  • Lead tender team for tendering of infrastructure projects.
  • Oversee construction progress based on contractual terms on time, cost and quality and manage project completion within timeline by client.
  • Engage the stakeholders in relation to the project to support the progress and completion.
  • Establish the policies and procedures to manage the construction of the project.
  • Drive compliance with Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) policies and practices in relation to the project
  • Establish organizational health and safety policies, processes and procedures in alignment with WSH policies and practices
  • Recommend improvements based on WSH accident and incident findings and trends
  • Drive organizational adoption of environmental sustainability and green building strategies
  • Manage the financial aspects of the project against budgeted and forecasted costing.
  • Endorse project handover and closure documents for submissions to relevant authorities
  • Engage with the multi-disciplines to manage and follow up on the project meetings.
  • Maintain a high quality assurance and control standards in relation to the project.
  • Drive continuous improvement by keeping up to date development and changes in the built environment sector.
  • Lead the risk management plans and control to ensure compliance with organization risk framework.

REQUIREMENT (E.g. Qualifications, Certifications, Experience)

  • Potential candidates must demonstrate experience in successfully managing an infrastructure project with contract value of S$150 million or more.
  • Minimum 20 years of experience in managing large (>$150m), infrastructure underground tunnelling projects with at least 10 years of project management working experience at a corporate level.
  • Good command in Japanese language with in depth understanding of Japanese culture and accounting system is a MUST for direct communications to Japan HQ for obtaining technical and financial support.
  • Familiar with LTA MRT station and tunnelling projects requirements and specifications.
  • Experience in overseas MRT rail projects such as HongKong, etc.
