Overview
We are seeking a proactive, detail-oriented Intern to support the Project Leader in coordinating activities for two major industrial projects - a Pulp Mill and a Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) plant - from early-stage development through to financial close. The role will involve research, administrative and coordination across technical, commercial, and financing workstreams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Project Coordination and Support
- Assist the Project Leader in coordinating project activities across multiple workstreams (technical, commercial, legal, financial, and environmental).
- Maintain and update the project schedule, tracking deliverables, milestones, and critical deadlines
- Prepare and maintain project action logs, follow-up lists, and issue registers.
2. Documentation and Reporting
- Draft, edit, and format project-related documents, presentations, proposals, and reports.
- Organize, maintain, and manage document control systems for contracts, studies, permits, and correspondence.
3. Research and Analysis
- Conduct background research on technical processes, regulatory requirements, environmental impact, and market trends for pulp, paper, biofuels, and SAF.
4. Financial Close Preparation
- Track conditions precedent and documentation requirements for financial close.
Key requirements
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Business, Economics, or a related field.
- Strong analytical and research skills, with the ability to synthesise information from diverse sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to draft and format reports and presentations.
- Highly organised and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
- Proactive, resourceful, and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
