We are seeking a Project Accountant/Cost Control Accountant to support financial operations within our marine and dredging projects. This role works closely with project managers, vessel teams, and operations personnel to ensure accurate cost tracking, reporting, and financial control across ongoing dredging activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage full set of accounts for marine and dredging projects
  • Monitor and track project costs, including vessel operating expenses, fuel consumption, subcontractor costs, and equipment repair as well as claims
  • Perform project cost analysis and variance reporting against budgets
  • Support tender pricing and project budgeting for dredging works
  • Liaise with vessel operations team on cost allocation and utilisation tracking ( eg, provisions, crew wages etc)
  • Prepare monthly project financial reports and cash flow projections
  • Coordinate with external auditors & partner banking institutions on project-related financial matters
  • Maintain and improve internal controls and financial processes specific to marine operations
  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and company financial policies according to Singapore laws & regulations

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
  • Minimum 5-8 years of relevant experience, preferably in marine, offshore, or construction/project-based environment
  • Strong experience in project accounting and cost control
  • Familiarity with vessel-related cost structures and operational workflows is highly preferred
  • Ability to work closely with operations teams in a fast-paced project environment
  • Proficient in accounting systems such as XERO and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Preferred Experience

  • Experience in dredging projects, port works, or marine infrastructure
  • Exposure to multi-project cost tracking and regional operations as our company nature is running simultaneous projects across Asia
  • Familiarity with fuel cost monitoring, vessel utilisation, and equipment costing

Additional Information

This role requires close coordination with both finance and operations teams to support the financial management of active dredging projects. Candidates with prior experience in marine or project-based industries would be an added advantage.
