Job Description

About the RoleThe Programme Specialist plays a key role in supporting teaching and learning practices across centres, ensuring curriculum consistency, quality, and innovation. You will serve as a mentor, curriculum leader, and role model for teaching standards and professional culture.

You will work closely with centre leaders and teachers to strengthen curriculum implementation, enhance pedagogical practices, and uphold high-quality learning environments. Beyond classroom support, you will also contribute to curriculum review, training, research and development, and quality audits across a cluster of centres.

Key Responsibilities

Curriculum Calendar & Events: Support centres in planning, reviewing, and tracking curriculum schedules.

Curriculum Leadership & Administration: Guide centre leaders in carrying out curriculum leadership responsibilities.

Curriculum Implementation: Review centre progress, provide reports, and ensure consistency in delivery.

Mentoring & Coaching: Support classroom teaching practices, provide on-the-job training, and strengthen curriculum leadership competencies.

Classroom Environment: Help teachers maintain optimal learning spaces to enhance children's development.

Child Assessment: Guide teachers in child observation, documentation, and assessment of learning outcomes.

Professional Development: Develop, conduct, and evaluate curriculum training, workshops, and learning circles to build staff competencies.

Curriculum Communication: Support centres in parent engagement activities (e.g. orientation, workshops, curriculum talks).

Validation & Audit: Conduct audits and validations to ensure consistency and high standards in curriculum delivery.

Curriculum Development & R&D: Pilot new initiatives, monitor curriculum innovations, and contribute to research projects.

SPARK & Quality Assurance: Ensure curriculum readiness and support centres in achieving SPARK and QC requirements.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE).

At least 5 years of teaching experience in ECE, including 2 years in curriculum and teaching leadership.

Strong communication skills (written and verbal).

Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to engage staff at all levels.

Demonstrated leadership qualities, team spirit, and collaborative skills.

Passionate about mentoring and supporting teacher development.

Deep understanding of curriculum design and constructivist pedagogical principles.
