Role Overview
This role supports cross-functional teams to ensure smooth execution of MT (Manufacturing/Test) platform builds. The position coordinates with Change Management, Planning, Production, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Purchasing, and Commodity teams to drive operational readiness and successful build execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Change Management
- Drive CCN approval and complete ECO loop for MT platforms (one-time)
- Communicate change notifications and impact assessments to relevant teams (ongoing)
2. Planning / Forecasting / Program
- Integrate Contract Manufacturer (CM) phasing into build plans and GDP (one-time)
- Provide required configurations for MT builds and request Order BOM from Business Unit (ongoing)
3. Production
- Provide technical know-how where information is incomplete or undocumented (tribal knowledge) (one-time)
4. Manufacturing Engineering (M.E.)
- Close identified gaps in OMS (Assembly, Test, BPS procedures) (one-time)
- Update BOM to convert make parts to purchase parts (one-time)
- Transfer firmware to CM and support related activities (ongoing)
5. Quality
- Support buy-off of MT builds (ongoing)
- Perform Non-Conformance (NC) assessments and drive NC reduction initiatives (ongoing)
6. Purchasing
- Identify and transfer material inventory and outstanding orders from suppliers to CM (one-time)
- Coordinate consignment of selected materials to CM for MT builds (ongoing)
7. Commodity Management
- Maintain communication flow between CM and MT Program Manager (ongoing)
- Conduct 4M1E reviews to ensure CM readiness for projected MT build volumes (ongoing)
- Lead commercial and strategic reviews, including cost evaluations (ongoing)
Skills & Qualifications
- Strong cross-functional coordination and communication skills
- Experience in manufacturing or New Product Introduction (NPI) environments
- Knowledge of BOM management, ECO/CCN processes, and supplier coordination
- Familiarity with Quality and Non-Conformance assessment practices
