About the Opportunity

Our client is seeking an experienced Professional Engineer (Civil / Structural) to oversee the civil and structural engineering aspects of landed residential projects in Singapore. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring structural integrity, regulatory compliance, and technical excellence throughout the project lifecycle.
This position provides the opportunity to work on high-quality landed residential developments while collaborating with architects, consultants, and contractors to deliver safe and efficient engineering solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Structural Design & Analysis

. Lead the design and analysis of civil and structural elements for landed residential developments.

. Ensure structural safety, durability, and cost-effectiveness in accordance with engineering standards.

Regulatory Compliance (Qualified Person Role)

. Act as the Qualified Person (QP) for structural works.

. Prepare, endorse, and submit structural calculations and plans to relevant authorities such as BCA for approval.

Site Supervision & Inspection

. Conduct regular site inspections to ensure structural works comply with approved plans, geotechnical reports, and safety standards.

Project Coordination

. Work closely with architects, contractors, and M&E consultants to resolve technical issues and ensure design coordination throughout project implementation.

Risk Management

. Identify potential structural and geotechnical risks and recommend mitigation strategies to ensure project safety and progress.

Certification & Documentation

. Issue required engineering certifications such as TOP or CSC where applicable.

. Review and endorse as-built drawings and structural documentation upon project completion.

Requirements

Education

. Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from a recognised institution.

Professional Registration

. Registered Professional Engineer (PE) with the Professional Engineers Board (Singapore).

Experience

. Minimum 8 years of relevant experience in civil and structural engineering, preferably in landed residential projects. Experience in Addition & Alteration (A&A) works will be advantageous.

Technical Skills

. Proficiency in structural analysis software such as ETABS, Prokon, or similar tools.

. Strong understanding of structural engineering principles and geotechnical considerations for landed developments.

. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

. Good decision-making and technical judgment.

. Effective communication and coordination with project stakeholders.
