This is a 12-month contract opportunity for an Application Support Specialist within a fast-paced banking environment

• Monitor system availability and resolve technical defects in accordance with established service level agreements.

• Oversee daily batch processing cycles, including start-of-day and end-of-day execution for critical applications.

• Manage end-to-end incident lifecycles by logging tickets, tracking progress, and ensuring timely closure of user queries.

• Collaborate with engineering teams on server maintenance, patching, and annual business continuity exercises.

• Maintain comprehensive technical documentation for application releases and system configuration updates.

skills and experience required.

• Minimum of 1 to 2 years of experience in technical production support or IT operations.

• Proficiency in legacy systems such as mid-range platforms or mainframes, alongside Unix/Linux environments and database scripting.

• Practical experience with enterprise job scheduling and system monitoring dashboard tools.

• Strong understanding of service management frameworks and structured incident response methodologies.

• Excellent communication skills with the ability to provide technical workarounds under tight time constraints.
