Production Supervisor (Manufacturing)

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Production Supervisor to oversee daily manufacturing operations, production manpower, quality control and production targets. The successful candidate will work closely with the Production Manager and production team to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and allocate manpower for production lines and coordinate the receiving of incoming materials.
• Supervise and control daily production line operations.
• Ensure production schedules are executed according to plan.
• Monitor production quality throughout the manufacturing process, including:Water qualityPackaging qualityPackaging shelf lifePackaging codingCorrect use of packaging materials
• Ensure daily production targets and KPIs are achieved.
• Improve production processes to enhance efficiency and productivity while meeting standard cycle times.
• Identify and reduce unnecessary wastage.
• Ensure machinery and production equipment operate at optimal capacity and minimise downtime.
• Carry out first-level troubleshooting for production equipment and machine issues.
• Report machine breakdowns or production downtime exceeding 10 minutes to the Production Manager.
• Ensure sufficient raw materials are available for scheduled production runs.
• Ensure production summary reports are accurate and submitted on time.
• Provide regular updates to the Production Manager on production status and progress.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve productivity, quality and operational efficiency.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Production Manager and Management Team.

Job Requirements

• Minimum GCE O Level or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of relevant production/manufacturing experience.
• Proven experience working as a Production Supervisor.
• Able to read and write Chinese.
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to supervise and manage production teams confidently.
• Good analytical and problem-solving skills for production-related issues.
• Knowledge of materials, equipment and manpower planning for manufacturing operations.
• Knowledge of quality control, production costing and budget management.
• Proficient in computer-based administration, record keeping and procurement systems.
• Able to work independently under the direction of the Production Manager.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with production staff and other departments.
• Proactive, responsible and committed to achieving production targets and maintaining quality standards.
