Production Supervisor

About the role:

As a Production Supervisor based at Singapore - Advanced Manufacturing (Pioneer Crescent), you will lead production line shift leaders and operators in daily manufacturing operations to achieve targets in output, utilisation, quality and cost. You will ensure strong shop floor discipline, compliance with operating procedures, safety and quality standards, timely issue resolution, effective training and continuous improvement through Kaizen and other operational excellence activities.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, train and motivate production line shift leaders and operators in daily operations to achieve targets in output, utilisation, quality and cost.
• Ensure production operations adhere strictly to operating procedures, maintenance programmes, quality requirements and safety standards.
• Analyse and resolve production line issues, and assist the production team in solving work-related problems.
• Escalate and follow up unresolved production issues with relevant functional teams to ensure timely closure.
• Support continuous improvement strategies by leading or participating in Kaizen projects to achieve operational excellence.
• Maintain a good level of discipline on the production shop floor, and manage absenteeism and turnover to meet company goals in quality, cost and delivery.
• Conduct training needs analysis, plan and implement OJT, and maintain accurate OJT records for the production team.
• Conduct employee year-end performance reviews and support team development through regular coaching and feedback.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by superiors.

About you:

• Degree or Diploma in Manufacturing, Engineering, Production Management, Operations Management or a related discipline.
• Relevant experience in production operations within a manufacturing environment, preferably with exposure to shift-based operations.
• Experience leading shift leaders, operators or production teams to achieve output, utilisation, quality, cost and delivery targets.
• Good understanding of operating procedures, maintenance programmes, quality systems, safety standards, OJT requirements and continuous improvement practices.
• Able to analyse production issues, escalate effectively and follow through with relevant functional teams until closure.
• Strong communication and people management skills, with the ability to motivate teams, manage discipline and support performance reviews.
• Strong ownership, safety mindset, problem-solving ability and commitment to training, compliance and operational excellence.
