Production Planning Specialist
A globally recognized multinational manufacturing organization is looking to appoint a Junior Production Planning Specialist to join its growing Supply Chain & Operations team in Singapore.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in production planning within a structured, high-performing manufacturing environment. Working alongside experienced planners and cross-functional teams, you will gain hands-on exposure to demand planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP), while supporting the delivery of products to customers across global markets.
Key Responsibilities
- Support production planning activities to ensure customer demand is met efficiently.
- Coordinate production schedules for finished goods and sub-assemblies based on forecast and demand requirements.
- Monitor inventory levels and assist in maintaining optimal stock across regional distribution centers.
- Process and manage internal production and replenishment orders using ERP/MRP planning systems.
- Work closely with Customer Service to respond to changing customer requirements and demand fluctuations.
- Support weekly and monthly planning reviews, inventory analysis, and stock optimization activities.
- Assist with production allocation, inventory expiry monitoring, and inventory control initiatives.
- Prepare planning reports and KPI dashboards, including inventory and backorder performance.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing, Warehouse, Quality, Purchasing, and Logistics teams to ensure smooth production flow.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance planning processes and operational efficiency.
What We're Looking For
- Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Operations, Engineering or a related discipline.
- Around 1–3 years of experience in Production Planning, Supply Chain, Materials Planning, Logistics, or Manufacturing Operations.
- Exposure to ERP/MRP systems such as SAP, Oracle, or similar platforms would be advantageous.
- Strong analytical mindset with excellent organizational and planning skills.
- Comfortable working with Microsoft Excel and handling data analysis.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively across multiple departments.
- Eagerness to learn, develop, and grow within a multinational manufacturing environment.
