Production Manager (Precision machining)

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, develop, and manage production schedules to meet customer requirements while optimizing efficiency and minimizing downtime.

• Lead, train, and motivate a cross-functional production team, promoting a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement.

• Ensure all products meet strict precision engineering standards and customer specifications through effective quality control and ongoing process monitoring.

• Drive process improvement initiatives by applying Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies such as Six Sigma to increase productivity and reduce waste.

• Manage production resources including machinery, tools, and materials to ensure optimal utilization and minimal operational disruption.

• Enforce health, safety, and environmental standards in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.

• Monitor production budgets, control operational costs, and implement cost-saving initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery performance.

• Collaborate closely with engineering, quality, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure smooth operations and on-time delivery.

• Prepare and present regular reports on production performance, KPIs, and continuous improvement activities.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in production management within the precision engineering industry.

• Proven experience in implementing Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Strong knowledge of CNC machining, CAD/CAM software, and advanced manufacturing technologies.

• Experience with ERP systems and production planning software.

• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

• Results-oriented mindset with strong organizational and project management skills.
