Manufacturing Engineer (Precision machining)

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for new and existing products to improve quality, efficiency, and cost effectiveness.

• Conduct feasibility studies and cost analysis for manufacturing projects.

• Create and maintain process documentation including SOPs, work instructions, and process flow diagrams.

• Ensure smooth transfer of process knowledge to production teams.

• Collaborate with design, production, and quality teams to integrate new processes effectively.

• Identify and implement process improvements using Lean Manufacturing principles to reduce waste and increase productivity.

• Analyze production data to identify trends, issues, and improvement opportunities.

• Lead root cause analysis and cross-functional problem-solving activities.

• Develop corrective and preventive actions for process issues.

• Ensure compliance with industry standards and support internal/external audits.

• Work with quality team to implement effective quality control plans.

• Provide technical support to production teams to resolve manufacturing issues and improve performance.

• Train and guide production staff on new processes and best practices.

• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to evaluate and implement new technologies and equipment.

• Stay updated with industry trends and manufacturing technologies.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.

• Minimum 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in precision machining.

• Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, materials, and equipment.

• Proficient in CAD/CAM tools such as SolidWorks, Mastercam, or similar.

• Ability to read technical drawings and BOM.

• Experience leading process improvement and Lean Manufacturing initiatives.
