Job Description
Work scope, duties and responsibilities
Collaborate with management to develop and implement plans supporting business growth and organizational capabilities.
Plan, direct, and upgrade all manufacturing activities, facilities, and maintenance operations.
Manage maintenance personnel and external contractors for repair, maintenance, construction, and installation of machines, equipment, buildings, grounds, utilities, and waste treatment systems.
Ensure efficient use of materials, manpower, machines, and equipment.
Provide technical supervision for engineering and maintenance functions, including troubleshooting and repairing electronic and electrical devices.
Establish and implement preventive and planned maintenance schedules.
Supervise assistant supervisors and leaders in daily production and maintenance activities.
Ensure production and process control activities are properly carried out.
Address quality issues and advise on corrective actions.
Ensure compliance with safety guidelines, government regulations, and EHS standards.
Plan and implement EHS activities, including pre-alerting and resolving safety concerns before external safety officers notice them.
Identify and implement improvements to manufacturing processes, yields, quality, and energy efficiency.
Define responsibilities and authorities of reporting staff.
Execute production plans and support production scheduling.
Coordinate material and machinery requirements.
Execute and supervise product changeovers according to procedures.
Manage budgets, timelines, tasks, and activities to meet customer quality and on-time delivery expectations.
Develop budget, costing, and contracting strategies.
Manage training and development for staff.
Track and report metrics for manufacturing and process performance.
Update machine performance and production reports.
Identify cost reduction and improvement opportunities.
Maintain good housekeeping and EHS standards on the production floor.
Manage supply chain activities.
Serve as advisor and coach to leaders and employees.
Design and implement new production lines and building facilities.
Implement projects to enhance energy efficiency and consumable usage.
Possess computer literacy and engineering report writing skills.
Knowledge of SPC, TQM, and legal licensing with NEA/SCDF/SPF is an advantage.
Any other duties and responsibilities assigned by the Company from time to time.
Working Day: Monday to Saturday (5.5 days)
Working Day/ Time : Mon-Fri: 8.30 am to 6pm, Sat: 8.30am to 12.30pm
