Production Engineering Technician

Company Overview

KINGS Marine designs and manufactures steering gear and engine control systems for vessels. The team is small and hands-on, offering opportunities to learn product assembly and marine engineering from the ground up.

Job Summary

You will assemble hydraulic power units and marine components, manage inventory, prepare shipments accurately, and maintain a safe, organized workshop environment.

Responsibilities

• Assemble hydraulic power units and marine engineering components by interpreting drawings and following guidance from senior team members
• Receive incoming goods, unpack and verify items against delivery orders and purchase orders, then sort and store materials properly
• Track inventory levels, identify low-stock items, and plan material requirements for upcoming projects
• Pack outgoing orders, cross-check contents against commercial invoices and packing lists, and report any discrepancies
• Measure and record the dimensions and gross weight of cartons and crates for shipment documentation
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe production floor to support efficient operations
• Assist with moving materials and equipment in and out of the workshop as needed
• Communicate effectively in English and Mandarin with team members, suppliers, and customers
• Use basic computer skills to manage emails and update inventory records in Excel or Google Sheets
• Lift and move heavy items safely, up to 25 kg

Required competencies and certifications

• Minimum SPM or equivalent (e.g., GCE N/O-Level, Nitec)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Experience in mechanical, automotive, marine, or mechanical & electrical (M&E) work
• Nitec, Diploma, or SKM in Mechanical Engineering
• Electrical engineering knowledge or experience
• Basic understanding of hydraulics
