Job Description
Job Responsibilities
- Support day-to-day production engineering activities and ensure smooth operation of manufacturing equipment and production processes.
- Perform machine setup, parameter adjustment, calibration, troubleshooting and basic repair of production equipment.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to production and maintenance schedules.
- Troubleshoot production abnormalities involving machinery, tooling, fixtures, sensors and process parameters.
- Assist engineers in process improvement, equipment modification, testing and implementation of corrective actions.
- Monitor machine performance, production yield, downtime and process stability.
- Perform root-cause investigation for equipment and production-related issues and prepare technical findings where required.
- Maintain proper records of equipment servicing, maintenance activities, machine parameters and production issues.
- Coordinate with Production, Engineering, Maintenance and Quality teams on technical issues affecting production.
- Ensure compliance with workplace safety, quality and manufacturing procedures.
- Perform other production engineering and technical duties assigned by management.
Requirements
- Diploma/NITEC/Higher NITEC in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering or related technical discipline.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant hands-on experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
- Hands-on experience in machine setup, equipment troubleshooting, preventive maintenance and production process support.
- Able to interpret technical drawings, equipment manuals and basic electrical/mechanical diagrams.
- Familiar with troubleshooting of mechanical, pneumatic, electrical and sensor-related equipment faults.
- Able to use basic measuring and diagnostic tools.
- Candidates must be comfortable working in a hands-on production environment and attending to machine breakdowns when required.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision and respond promptly to production issues.
- Willing to work overtime, weekends or shifts when required by production schedules.
- Good documentation and problem-solving skills.
