We are seeking a motivated and experienced Production Engineer (PCM) to support project execution in shipyards, offshore vessels, and marine environments. The candidate will be responsible for coordinating site activities, supervising manpower, and ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, and within budget.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan, coordinate, and supervise piping, mechanical works, chemical cleaning, flushing, and marine system activities onboard vessels and in shipyards.
- Manage and monitor daily site operations onboard ships or within yard facilities, ensuring compliance with project specifications and marine safety standards.
- Coordinate with ship owners, shipyard teams, subcontractors, and internal departments for smooth project execution.
- Prepare method statements, risk assessments, work schedules, and progress reports.
- Monitor project progress, manpower deployment, and material usage onboard and at site.
- Ensure compliance with HSE regulations, marine safety requirements, and permit-to-work systems.
- Attend project and toolbox meetings with clients/shipyard representatives and provide technical support.
- Conduct onboard inspections and resolve technical or operational issues during execution.
- Ensure quality control, testing, and proper documentation of all project activities.
Job Requirements:
- Diploma or Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Marine Engineering, or related discipline.
- Minimum 10-15 years of experience in PCM works, piping, or mechanical execution in marine or offshore projects.
- Experience working in shipyards, offshore platforms, FPSO, or vessel repair/conversion projects.
- Knowledge of chemical cleaning, hot oil flushing, pickling & passivation, pressure testing, and marine piping systems is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, supervision, and site coordination skills.
- Good communication skills and ability to coordinate with multinational crews and clients.
- Familiar with marine safety standards and Singapore workplace safety regulations.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced shipyard or onboard vessel environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Experience managing technicians, pipe fitters, welders, riggers, and supervisors.
- Ability to interpret P&ID drawings, isometric drawings, and marine piping layouts.
- Knowledge of shipboard systems (fuel oil, lube oil, cooling water, hydraulic systems).
- Strong problem-solving and project coordination skills.
