Job Description

Job Summary:
The Production Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods in a high-volume production environment. The role ensures products are prepared consistently according to recipes, food safety standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to standardized recipes and production plans.
  • Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, proofers, ovens, and sheeters safely and efficiently.
  • Shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods to meet quality standards.
  • Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure consistency and quality.
  • Follow daily production schedules to meet order volumes and delivery timelines.
  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP).
  • Check ingredient quality and ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials.
  • Assist in inventory control and report shortages or quality issues to the supervisor.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen or production team to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 2-4 years of baking experience in a bakery, central kitchen, or food production environment.
  • Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and production processes.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
  • Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Team player with good attention to detail and consistency.
