Job Summary:
The Production Baker is responsible for preparing and baking a variety of breads, pastries, and baked goods in a high-volume production environment. The role ensures products are prepared consistently according to recipes, food safety standards, and production schedules.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare doughs, batters, and fillings according to standardized recipes and production plans.
- Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, proofers, ovens, and sheeters safely and efficiently.
- Shape, proof, and bake breads, pastries, and other baked goods to meet quality standards.
- Monitor baking times, temperatures, and product appearance to ensure consistency and quality.
- Follow daily production schedules to meet order volumes and delivery timelines.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations in accordance with food safety and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP).
- Check ingredient quality and ensure proper storage and handling of raw materials.
- Assist in inventory control and report shortages or quality issues to the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with the kitchen or production team to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
- Minimum 2-4 years of baking experience in a bakery, central kitchen, or food production environment.
- Knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and production processes.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume production setting.
- Familiarity with food safety and hygiene practices.
- Team player with good attention to detail and consistency.
