About Sodion Energy

Sodion Energy is a Singapore-based deep-tech company developing sodium-ion battery solutions for mobility, industrial applications and energy storage. We are a small, hands-on team bringing battery products from development and testing into production and real-world customer deployments.

The Opportunity

We are looking for two Product & Project Engineers to join our growing team.

Reporting directly to the CTO, you will take day-to-day engineering responsibility for an assigned battery product line while managing technical and project delivery for at least one major customer account.

This is a hands-on role that combines practical engineering with project management. You will work across the full product lifecycle, from component selection and testing to supplier coordination, customer deployments and field troubleshooting.

What You'll Do

Maintain product specifications, technical documentation and engineering revisions.
Work with battery cell, BMS and enclosure suppliers on samples, design changes and quality issues.
Conduct hands-on battery testing, analyse results and prepare engineering reports.
Manage the day-to-day technical and project delivery for major customer accounts, including requirements, milestones, risks, stakeholder coordination and customer updates.
Support product certification, customer trials, deployments and investigations of field failures.
Travel to China for supplier and factory reviews, and within Southeast Asia for customer visits and project support.
Use AI tools for research, documentation and data analysis, ensuring outputs are properly verified.

What We're Looking For

Singapore Citizen or Permanent Resident, due to customer-site and defence-related project access requirements.
Diploma or degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechanical, Mechatronics Engineering or a related discipline. Fresh graduates are welcome.
Confident spoken Mandarin for technical discussions with China-based suppliers, and good English communication skills.
Basic understanding of batteries and aptitude for hands-on testing and troubleshooting.
Strong organisational skills, with the ability to plan, coordinate and follow through on customer projects.
Willingness to travel to China and within Southeast Asia as required.
Comfortable using AI tools as part of everyday engineering work.

An advantage, but not essential: Relevant projects or experience involving batteries, EVs or energy storage systems CAD software Excel or Python for engineering data analysis.
